Circles for Reconciliation Inc. is a small grassroots, non-profit, registered charity.
We are grateful for our volunteers, who are the backbone of our project.
CFR has one full-time paid employee. We have four volunteers who hold significant portfolios for the organization; Knowledge Keeper, Database Coordinator, Social Media Outreach Coordinator and a Facilitator Support Trainer. Other important volunteers who are dedicated to reconciliation efforts are: Facilitators, Board Members, Grant Writer, Advisory Committee, Theme Writers and Elders who recorded audio/videos for the Themes. There are six main paid sub-contractors who contribute to our circle events in partnership with core volunteers and the staff member. It truly demonstrates our partnership of working together on this difficult realm of work that will definitely last our life time(s).
Our Facilitators located across the country deserve special recognition. In addition to at least 25 hours of training and preparation, each Facilitator dedicates 15 hours to conducting each seven-week Circle, and the majority co-facilitate more than one.
Thanks to the support of these incredible people, we are continually moving forward to the journey of reconciliation in order to include as many First Nations, Inuit and Métis people and non-Indigenous individuals and communities as possible.
