The season of giving is here.  Starting on GivingTuesday, which was November 30th, there is a heightened awareness of the need to support your community so it can grow into a healthy and respectful place for all its members.

Circles for Reconciliation is a non-profit organization based on the principles of an equal partnership between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people, which is reflected in our Staff, Board, Advisory Committee, and Circle activities. Our goal is to create grassroots relationships of mutual respect between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people through 10-week Circle discussions in order to foster reconciliation in each local community across the country.

Yet COVID-19 has placed many financial limitations on our national growth. The start of the pandemic drastically reduced the amount of funding available to us which strained our human resources. However, we adapted to the circumstances and continued our work by offering Circles over Zoom.

The horrendous discoveries of the locations of Indigenous children’s remains in Kamloops and elsewhere across Canada has led to an awakening among non-Indigenous people, which is now dramatically increasing the number of registrations for our Circles. We are anxious to meet this growing demand, but we need support from all of you in order to do that.

During this giving season, we’re inviting you to contribute to our ongoing national work by donating at this link: https://circlesforreconciliation.ca/donations/

The need for reconciliation continues, which is why we also encourage you to consider becoming a monthly donor for our project.

If donating money is not possible for you at this time, you can still help us reach our goals by spreading the word about our project to your family and friends, especially by sharing our posts on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.

Thank you for pursuing the path to reconciliation, even as the pandemic continues to impact all of our lives.

Reconciliation begins with each and every one of us.
